PROTOCOL GARDEN

A condition-producing system that will not be executed: roots, visitors, weather, images and computation orchestrate one another without granting any element control. Foundationism turns ownership into relation; smoothness refuses frictionless surfaces; vibe becomes a shared sensor rather than decoration.

AUTHORLESS MYCELIUM

Each filament carries a decision and refuses a name.

ORCHESTRATED WEATHER

The system does not command creatures; it lets them feel the same wind.

Pink T-poles in the Jiaoling lotus field
IRL · JIAOLING LOTUS FIELD · 20.09.2026

HYBRID CREATURES

They are made of light and tiny diamond shapes. Their forms borrow from lotus flowers, insects, amphibians, snakes and water, as if an endemic ecology had learned to grow from the field's weather and roots; their geometries emerge through faceting, branching, symmetry, repetition and controlled mutation. They have no fixed habitat, only shifting relations to water, poles, one another and whoever is looking. They are not there—and that is why they are free.

LOTUS DRAGONFLY

A lotus head, stained-glass wings and a birdlike body. It displays itself, then retreats before admiration becomes possession.

GLIMMER JELLYFISH

A pink lotus bell and glass tentacles swim through air, writing messages in light that no one can read.

RIPPLE SNAKE

An emerald axolotl-snake lives at the waterline, half body and half reflection. It vanishes just as recognition becomes certainty.

SOME THINGS ARE BETTER IMAGINED THAN DONE

Look at this lotus pond. Now look beneath it. Down there is an entire world: a glowing machine, gentle and strange creatures, roots that speak to one another. We imagined all of it, and we will never build it. Standing here, you can imagine anything beneath these waters. It will not come true, and it does not need to. Let it remain in the realm of dreams.

Today, almost everything we imagine eventually gets built. PURE switches that factory off for a while. Here, imagination is not the first step toward building something. Here, imagination is everything.

The pink T-shaped pillars are the only things here that actually exist. Everything else—the machines, the creatures, the light—is underwater, in your mind, or online. Point your phone at this field and catch a glimpse of what we dreamed. Then raise your head and dream your own dream.

The T is a minimal junction: its vertical rises from the imagined underground system and its crossbar distributes attention across the field. The seven poles use an irregular weighted Voronoi logic: poles become seed points and the spaces between them generate the figure. In pop terms: seven pink beats, different heights, one syncopated rhythm.

蕉岭 PURE 展览PURE IN JIAOLING

The 2026 Guangdong Jiaoling Land Art Festival places seven French-pink T-poles in the lotus field as the only built elements of a larger imagined ecology.
